NIFA Priorities & Your Needs

As you begin formulating your project and prepare to begin the application process, take a closer look at NIFA's purpose and priorities. It's important that your project first and foremost fits with YOUR community needs and then make sure it fits with NIFA's purpose and priorities.

NIFA PURPOSE & PRIORITIES

Review NIFA purpose and priorities on the most current RFA. For example purposes, we will focus on the "Community Outreach Projects"

A "COMMUNITY FIRST" Approach

Of course aligning the NIFA priorities are of the utmost importance, that being said, it is really imperative that whatever project you are proposing actually serves your community.

If your community needs don't match the NIFA priorities exactly, that is ok. Look for connections and common ground that could help bridge your community needs with that of NIFA priorities.
